BURTON MORRIS PRESS
Artist Burton Morris builds on the tradition of Pop Art masters of the 1960’s-70’s, by portraying everyday ideas and objects and transforming popular culture icons into thought provoking works of fine art.
His distinctive style is characterized by radiant black outlines and vivid colors that emit energy and optimism in all of his artwork.
Morris first gained national attention in the mid-1990’s when his artwork was chosen to hang on the set of the NBC hit television series “Friends.” Over the years, his artwork has been selected for the 76th Annual Academy Awards, the Paris World Cup Soccer Games, the 38th Montreux Jazz Festival, the 2004 Summer Olympic Games and the 2006 Major League Baseball All Star Game. He has created signature artwork for Absolut Vodka, H.J. Heinz Corporation, AT&T and Perrier, among many others. In addition, his artwork has helped to raise millions of dollars for charities worldwide.
Burton Morris original paintings are displayed internationally. Morris’ art is featured in the collections of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, The Jimmy Carter Center, Cedars-Sinai Hospital, and the Ella Sharp Museum. One-man exhibitions include Sotheby’s of Amsterdam, the International Olympic Museum, and the Hickory Museum of Art.
